The lower part of your back consists of the lumbar spine and sacrum. Nerves run from the brain through the spine, between the vertebrae, sacrum and legs, allowing the entire body to move. When you work on one area of the body, you will always be working on other areas as well because everything is connected. Working on the lower back stimulates creativity and brings more ease into your day.

Hatha Yoga is the body-oriented part of Yoga. Ha=Sun, Tha=Moon, Yoga=Unity/Harmony. So Hatha Yoga is the harmonization of the two basic energies in our system, the activating, warming and the building, cooling energy. Hatha Yoga says that the body is the temple of the soul and should be cared for as such, but without considering it the most important thing. Yoga therefore addresses both the physical and the energetic body.
